French Country Inspired Wall Plate Rack - How to Display Plates on the Wall

I am so happy with my new wall shelf for displaying my ever-growing collection of blue and white plates, platters and collectibles.  I've mixed them with some very good white china that has a tiny silver rim around the edges.  The two French inspired little platters on the ends of the middle row came from a country sale up north of here just last weekend!  They have added just the right touch to the collection.  It will stay like this for a time, but you never know what will be found and added in the future!  Just love that hunt for treasures!

The back of the rack is beadboard and the top has a really lovely crown moulding on it.  The dining room is small, so the rack measures just 4 inches deep.  Enough to lean plates, platters, bowls and some collectibles. I could even fit in a few black plate stands, just for a little touch of black and some variety.  There is a pair of black metal candle sconces on either side, in the shape of a large bow.  So very cute!

The mix is charming and we enjoy it every day.  Hope you like it and it inspires you to put plates on the wall, whether in a rack, a wire plate rack or just hangers from the dollar store.  It is a truly beautiful look.

Flea Market Find - French Country Style Dining Table

This is the lovely finished product of the old dining table I bought at the Flea Market near here. It needed refinishing on the top to deal with some deep scratches.  The bottom and legs were painted yellow and I repainted them a soft cream to go with the rest of the woodwork.  The chairs are finds from the side of the road, the bench was purchased at a garage sale and the material that I covered the chairs and bench with is a find from Goodwill!  I love the way it goes with my blue and white china in the plate rack on the wall and with my oh so fabulous, French inspired, great, big chandelier.  The result is so pretty and welcoming!
